Product Description

5" x 7" Note Card "Carriage Houses, Village of Webster, 1905"
This artwork of the Village of Webster was created by Lori DeLeonardis-Aman. She worked with the historian to create a spring scene of village of Webster, New York from the turn of the century. Click on the inset text, to the left, for a full list of the actual buildings. These are great 'folk art' cards to use for any occasion. If you buy a set of 8 they come in a box and make a great gift.

The Village of Webster celebrated its centennial in 2005. These folk art style pictures document four seasons of a community around the turn of the century. They include the many family businesses that made up the Main Street. They document the businesses along the rail line that supported the agricultural economy. The carriage houses stored the horse, buggy and hay. Family life of the time is depicted by the houses among the churches of the village.

Special thanks to Dick Batzing (retired historian) and Lynn Barton (current historian).
