Gifts - Village of Webster, NY / Folk Art

The Village of Webster celebrated its centennial in 2005. These folk art style pictures document four seasons of a community around the turn of the century. They include the many family businesses that made up the Main Street. They document the businesses along the rail line that supported the agricultural economy. They remember the carriage houses stored the horse, buggy and hay. Family life of this time is depicted by the houses among the churches of the village.
Special thanks to Dick Batzing (retired historian) and Lynn Barton (current historian). For more information on the Village of Webster Centennial Events visit the website at: www.villageofwebster.com
